Nike Youth Triathlon Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for this event?
There are 3 different ways to register.
1. Online at
http://roguemultisport.com/featureevents/nikeyouthtriathlon.html.
2. Lance Armstrong Front Desk
3. Mail in registration form

Online registration closes August 11, 2011. The access code will be your Nike employee number.

Do you have a race day orientation?
Yes, Friday (8/11) 11:30AM-1:00PM and Saturday (8/13) at the Lance from 2-4pm. This will be a time to ask questions, pick up goodie bags, and get your body marked. This will help race day be less stressful.

Can I assist my child through the event?
Due to space and safety we only allow parents of 5yr and 6yr olds to assist their children. There are great viewing areas for parents of older children.

Can I assist my child in the transition area?
Please don’t bring strollers or additional parents into the transition area. There will be many trained volunteers to help your child in this area.

What equipment can my child use during the swim?
Kickboards and lifejackets will be available to use. NO fins.

Is there a timeline for race day?

This is located on the event website.

What equipment should my child bring?
Goggles, towel, swim suit, bike, helmet, shoes, extra shirt and shorts.

Will there be an awards ceremony this year?
Yes, but the start time for the awards is dependent on the last finisher.

Where does my child wait before the race?
All participants will be assigned a heat and will be waiting together in the basketball courts next to the Lance. Since the older kids are going first, this may be a longer wait for the younger children. Please come prepared.

How do the timing chips work?
We use timing chips to accurately record splits and overall time. It is important for your child to wear it on their ankle through the entire race. In addition, volunteers will mark the child’s arm and leg with the race number correlating to the chip. Please don’t step on mat before race begins.
