The ankle band cannot be removed or adjusted once the snap is fastened so be sure to achieve a secure and comfortable fit before closing the snap. The timing chip and ankle band will be removed by volunteers at the finish. The timing chip will work with any commercial triathlon timing chip ankle band if you prefer to provide your own band. Participants will not receive some or all times if the timing chip comes off during the race.

The timing chip will record the passing time of the participant when they cross over timing mats which will be calculated by the race timer to provide participant spilt times for the swim, bike and run, as well as, transition 1 and 2 times and the overall time. The timing chip must be retuned before leaving the finish area or you will be charged a $30 replacement fee.
